Air Canada To Launch New Long-Haul Routes By Year-End

👉🏻Canada has become the world’s sixth-largest long-haul air travel market as of September. Compared to pre-pandemic levels, departures have risen by 7%, with Montreal Airport standing out with a 20% increase.

👉🏻By the end of the year, five new routes will be added. Air Canada will launch flights from Montreal to Santiago, while Air Transat will begin Toronto–Istanbul services following its agreement with Turkish Airlines.

👉🏻Meanwhile, some Asia-linked services on Canada’s west coast are gradually recovering, although overall flight numbers remain below pre-pandemic levels.
