Air Astana Orders 25 Airbus Jets

Air Astana has placed its largest-ever direct order with Airbus for 25 new aircraft, comprising 5 A320neo and 20 A321neo jets. The agreement was announced in Toulouse and marks a symbolic milestone as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of Air Astana’s first A320 entering service in 2006.
Air Astana CEO Peter Foster highlighted the long-standing success of the A320 Family in the company’s operations and emphasized the A321LR’s capabilities for premium-configured long-range flights in a single-aisle platform. The new aircraft will be used across both Air Astana and its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan, supporting the group’s goals for sustainable growth and profitability.
The A320 Family, which has received over 19,000 orders globally, offers at least 20% fuel savings and reduced CO₂ emissions compared with the previous generation. Airbus aims for its aircraft to operate with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by 2030.
