Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana continues to expand its network in the Caucasus region. The airline has successfully operated its inaugural flight from the city of Atyrau, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Ceremonies were held at both Atyrau and Tbilisi airports to mark the first flight, and the event was celebrated enthusiastically by passengers and officials.
Under the new route, Air Astana will operate Atyrau–Tbilisi flights three times a week. With this addition, the number of international destinations served from Atyrau has increased to five.
Air Astana already operates regular flights from Atyrau to Istanbul, Dubai, Amsterdam, and Baku. The new Tbilisi route is considered a significant step in the airline’s regional growth strategy.
