Air Anka has accelerated its strategic steps toward fleet expansion and transitioning to a scheduled airline operating license ahead of the 2026 summer season. The company plans to gradually add a total of five Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet through financial leasing.
With the introduction of next-generation B737-800s, Air Anka aims to move beyond its current charter-focused operating model and enter the process of obtaining a scheduled airline license. This transition is expected to enhance the airline’s marketing capabilities while also contributing to bringing tourists to Türkiye from a wider range of markets.
In parallel, alongside its ongoing A330 wet-lease operations with Flyadeal, Air Anka will deploy one A330 aircraft on long-haul flights based in Lagos starting in July 2026 as part of a new partnership with United Nigeria Airlines.
The company is also continuing its efforts to add an additional wide-body aircraft to its A330 fleet.
