Air Anka & Flyadeal Partnership Expands ✍🏼 Air Anka to Lease 2 Airbus A320neo Aircraft from Flyadeal

Recently, Flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway announced on social media that an Airbus A330 aircraft owned by Air Anka had been leased for one year. Confirming the development, Air Anka’s Chairman of the Board, Serkan Yazıcıoğlu, also made a statement.

Yazıcıoğlu said, “Our partnership with Flyadeal, which began with the 2024 Hajj operations, continued into the 2025 Umrah and Hajj season. Thanks to Air Anka’s operational capability and the synergy created between the two companies, we reached an agreement to assign one of our A330 aircraft for long-haul operations in Saudi Arabia for one year. As of July 14, following the completion of the Hajj operations, our aircraft started operating on Flyadeal flights.”

In addition, Air Anka will strengthen its fleet during the peak season, between September 20 – November 10, by temporarily incorporating two 2025-model Airbus A320neo aircraft from Flyadeal. These aircraft will provide Air Anka with additional capacity on tourist routes between Turkey and Europe.

Highlighting the significance of the agreement, Yazıcıoğlu stated, “This cooperation is a first in Saudi Arabian aviation history. For the first time, a Saudi airline is leasing an aircraft abroad through the wet-lease method. At Air Anka, we are proud to be part of this process.”
