Air ACT Cargo Plane Veers Off Runway

An Air ACT cargo aircraft veered off the runway in Hong Kong.

The Boeing 747-400 freighter, registered TC-ACF and operated by Turkish company Air ACT, was performing flight #EK9788 from Dubai to Hong Kong on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo when, for reasons yet unknown, it veered off the runway after landing and struck a vehicle near the runway before ending up in the sea.

The aircraft remained afloat, and emergency teams successfully rescued the crew. However, it is reported that two people inside the vehicle are missing.Rescue teams have begun recovery operations for the aircraft and are continuing search efforts for the two missing individuals.
