Air ACT Cargo Plane Recovered from the Sea in Hong Kong

The Turkish cargo airline Air ACT’s Boeing 747-400 (registration TC-ACF), operating a flight from Dubai on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo, has been lifted from the sea and loaded onto a recovery vessel.

What Happened?

The aircraft, operating from Dubai to Hong Kong International Airport, overran the runway after landing and plunged into the sea.

Two security personnel working near the runway lost their lives in the accident. The city’s Transport and Logistics Bureau announced that a preliminary report on the incident will be released within a month.
