Greece’s flag carrier Aegean Airlines has officially commenced scheduled flights between Mikonos Island and Istanbul. A welcoming ceremony was held late last night to mark the inaugural flight, which coincided with the Eid al-Adha holiday. Representatives from İGA, Çelebi, and Aegean Airlines’ Turkey office attended the event.
Mikonos flights will operate twice weekly in both directions. Throughout the summer season, Aegean will continue to offer scheduled services to Istanbul from Athens, Rhodes, Crete, Mikonos, and Santorini.
This marks the first time scheduled flights are being operated from the popular tourist destination of Mikonos to İGA Istanbul Airport.
