Accident at Sydney Airport Cargo Terminal: Worker Loses His Life

A worker lost his life in a workplace accident that occurred on Sunday morning at Qantas’s cargo terminal at Sydney Airport. The employee, reported to be in his 40s, could not be saved despite the intervention of medical teams who arrived at the scene.
Police launched an investigation and conducted a site examination at the terminal. It was stated that the accident did not appear suspicious, that SafeWork NSW had been notified, and that a report would be prepared for the coroner.
In a statement from Qantas, it was expressed that the company was deeply saddened by the accident, that they were cooperating with authorities, and that support would be provided to the family and relatives of the deceased worker. It was noted that the worker was employed by Wymap, a subcontractor working with Qantas Freight.
