A World First: Electro-Optical System Integrated into Kızılelma Unmanned Combat Aircraft

ASELSAN announced that its low-visibility electro-optical targeting system, TOYGUN, has been successfully integrated into Turkey’s unmanned combat aircraft, the Bayraktar Kızılelma. With this integration, TOYGUN became the first system of its level to operate on an unmanned combat aircraft worldwide.

The company noted that TOYGUN is a technology normally used only on advanced fifth-generation fighter jets. Its operation on the Kızılelma is considered one of the most advanced applications in the field of unmanned combat aircraft globally to date.

With the completion of this integration, Turkey has become one of the very few countries in the world capable of deploying this strategic capability.
