Two Airlink Embraer Jets Perform Low Flypast Over Cape Town Stadium

South African airline Airlink performed a low flypast with two Embraer aircraft ahead of the Springboks-All Blacks match at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on August 29, 2026.

The flypast featured the green-liveried Embraer E190SR, registered ZS-YAE, representing the Springboks, and the black-liveried Embraer E195AR, registered ZS-YDE, representing the All Blacks. Flightradar24 data indicated that the black E195 descended to as low as 50 feet (approximately 15 metres) AGL during the flypast.

The flypast over the packed stands was conducted as part of the 2026 Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry event. Airlink had previously performed a similar flypast with the same two aircraft over Ellis Park in Johannesburg on August 22.
