Flood Disaster in Nepal: Hundreds Reported Missing

Days of heavy monsoon rains in Nepal have triggered widespread flooding and landslides across the country.
Rivers have overflowed in several areas, including the capital Kathmandu, inundating roads, bridges and residential areas. Search and rescue teams continue to work in regions where access remains difficult, while thousands of people have been evacuated to safer locations.
The flooding has also disrupted air travel. Operations have been affected at several airports, with numerous domestic and international flights delayed or cancelled.
