Three Aircraft Violate Restricted Airspace Near Trump’s Golf Club
Three small civilian aircraft violated temporary flight restrictions around President Donald Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, while the U.S. president was in the area.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said the first two aircraft were intercepted by F-16 fighter jets and safely escorted out of the restricted airspace.
The third violation occurred as Trump was preparing to leave the area. NORAD intervention was not required after the pilot re-established communication with air traffic control and complied with instructions. The incident reportedly delayed Trump’s departure from New Jersey by approximately 13 minutes.
Trump spent the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, which was hosting the LIV Golf New York tournament. Temporary flight restrictions had been imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to the U.S. president’s presence in the area.
