United Airlines to Resume Tel Aviv Flights

United Airlines has announced that it will resume nonstop flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport starting September 8, 2026.

The airline will operate two daily flights on the route using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. United suspended its Tel Aviv services after Israeli airspace was largely closed to commercial flights at the end of February due to the conflict with Iran.

As Ben Gurion Airport has returned to full international operations, foreign airlines have also begun gradually restoring their services to Israel. Delta Air Lines is expected to resume its New York and Atlanta-Tel Aviv flights on September 5, while American Airlines does not plan to restart flights to Israel before March 27, 2027.

United Airlines has not yet announced a new schedule for the resumption of its Tel Aviv services from Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles, which it also operated previously.
