Iran Displays Wreckage It Says Belongs to US and Israeli Aircraft and Drones
Iran displayed parts of fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles that it claims were downed during US and Israeli air operations, at an exhibition held inside an underground facility belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Among the most notable exhibits was wreckage said to belong to a US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 494th Fighter Squadron, which Iran says was shot down in the south of the country on April 3, 2026. Both crew members were reportedly rescued afterward.
Tehran also claimed that some of the displayed wreckage came from Israeli Air Force F-35I and F-16I fighter jets, and that around 30 MQ-9 Reaper UAVs were downed during the clashes. These claims, however, have not been independently verified.
An Israeli-made Hermes 900 UAV, seen largely intact at the exhibition, also drew attention. Iran said the drone was neutralized using electronic warfare systems.
