Cathay Group Reports 68% Increase in First-Half Profit

The Cathay Group has announced its financial results for the first half of 2026. Including its airlines, subsidiaries, and associates, the group reported an attributable profit of HK$6.2 billion for the first six months of the year.

According to the company’s figures, this marks a significant increase from the HK$3.7 billion attributable profit recorded in the first half of 2025, representing a year-on-year growth of approximately 68%.

The strong financial performance was supported by robust passenger demand, improved operational efficiency, and contributions from the group’s airlines and associated businesses. Cathay Group aims to maintain its growth momentum throughout the second half of the year.
