Boeing 737 MAX Becomes the Most-Ordered Aircraft Family in Boeing’s History

The Boeing 737 MAX family has reached 7,206 total orders, becoming the most-ordered aircraft family in the company’s history. It has now surpassed the previous-generation 737 Next Generation family, which accumulated 7,159 orders.
According to Boeing’s June 2026 figures, the manufacturer secured 100 net orders for the 737 MAX during the month after cancellations. The latest orders pushed the MAX family ahead of every other commercial aircraft programme in Boeing’s history.
➡️ The 737 MAX family consists of the smaller 737-7, the core 737-8, the high-density 737-8-200, the larger 737-9 and the 737-10, the biggest member of the family.
➡️ The 737-8 can accommodate between 160 and 180 passengers in a typical two-class configuration and offers a range of approximately 6,480 kilometres. The 737-9 carries between 175 and 195 passengers in a two-class layout, while the 737-10 accommodates between 185 and 210 passengers. With a maximum capacity of 230 passengers, the 737-10 was developed as the family’s largest option for high-demand routes.
➡️ The 737-8, 737-8-200 and 737-9 are already in commercial service, while certification work continues for the 737-7 and 737-10. Neither variant has yet entered commercial service.
