S7 Airlines Launches Digital Tipping for Cabin Crew

Russian airline S7 Airlines has introduced a new system allowing passengers to send voluntary digital payments to cabin crew members. The initiative was launched on July 12, marked in Russia as Civil Aviation Cabin Crew Day.
Under the project, titled “Thank Those Who Keep You Safe in the Sky,” passengers can now express their appreciation after a flight not only through written or verbal feedback, but also by sending cabin crew members an amount of their choice.
S7 Airlines already sends passengers a satisfaction survey after each flight, allowing them to evaluate the service provided by the cabin crew. As part of the new system, a “Say Thank You” button has been added to the survey, enabling passengers to make voluntary digital payments.
The airline said the initiative does not change the existing salary structure of its cabin crew. It is intended as an additional way for passengers to thank the employees who welcome them on board, ensure flight safety, assist during unusual situations, and help provide a calm and comfortable journey.
