Cathay Pacific A330 Suffers Tail Strike During Go-Around

A Cathay Pacific Airbus A330-300, registered B-HLQ and operating Flight CX509 from Tokyo to Hong Kong on Friday, July 3, suffered a tail strike while performing a go-around at Hong Kong International Airport.
The aircraft subsequently landed safely at Hong Kong International Airport and taxied to a parking stand. No injuries were reported among the passengers or operating crew.
Cathay Pacific said its engineering team is carrying out a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft. The A330 will return to service after the required maintenance work has been completed.
