Syrian Airlines Orders 8 Airbus Aircraft

A civil aviation agreement was signed during French President Macron’s visit to Damascus. As part of the agreement, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa signed a deal with Airbus covering an order for 8 aircraft.

Syrian state carrier Syrian Air currently operates a fleet consisting of 3 Airbus A320 aircraft and 1 Boeing 737-500. Syria’s private airline Fly Cham also has 5 Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet, 4 of which are active.
