Two Killed After Bus Carrying Royal Jordanian Crew Overturns in New York

Two people, including a Royal Jordanian crew member, were killed and 20 others injured after a shuttle bus transporting the airline’s flight crew overturned in a multi-vehicle crash in New York City.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. local time on Monday on the Long Island Expressway in Queens. According to preliminary reports, the bus collided with two vehicles near the Greenpoint Avenue exit before crossing the median, overturning into the opposite lanes, and striking two additional vehicles.
The bus was carrying 15 crew members who had operated Royal Jordanian Flight RJ8261 from Amman to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport. The crew was being transported to their hotel following the flight.
The bus driver and one Royal Jordanian crew member were pronounced dead at the scene. The injured crew members were taken to hospital, where authorities said they are in stable condition. The driver of one of the other vehicles involved in the crash was reported to be in critical condition.
