Search for Missing MH370 Extended by One Year

The Malaysian government has extended its contract with marine exploration company Ocean Infinity for an additional 12 months to continue the search for the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.

Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook announced that the renewed agreement will remain in effect from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with all existing contractual terms unchanged.

The search will continue under the “no find, no fee” arrangement, meaning Ocean Infinity will receive payment only if the wreckage of MH370 is successfully located. Under the agreement, the company will be paid US$70 million if the aircraft is found.
