Passengers Evacuated After Gun Magazine Found on Frontier Flight

Passengers were evacuated from a Frontier Airlines aircraft scheduled to operate flight #D94766 from Denver to Phoenix after a gun magazine was discovered on board.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 10 at Denver International Airport.
After the magazine was found during departure preparations, passengers were deplaned as a precaution and underwent additional security screening. A subsequent search of the aircraft reportedly found no additional ammunition.
Frontier Airlines stated that the delay caused the flight crew to exceed their duty time limitations, resulting in passengers being rebooked onto another flight.
According to the airline’s preliminary investigation, the magazine is believed to belong to a law enforcement officer. It has not been officially confirmed whether the magazine was loaded.
