Drone Alert Near Prague Airport Disrupts Operations

Short-term disruptions were reported in arrival operations at Václav Havel Airport Prague following reports of suspicious drone activity near the airport.

➡️ Due to active drone movements in the area, some arriving aircraft were placed into holding patterns, while departure operations reportedly continued in a controlled manner.

➡️ The incident also coincided with a period in which all traffic had been temporarily shifted to runway 12/30 because of planned maintenance work on the airport’s main runway. According to Prague Airport’s official statement, runway 06/24 remains closed between March 30 and August 14, 2026, with all flight operations being handled via runway 12/30 during this period.
