Dangerous Near Miss in the US

- At Nashville International Airport, a Southwest Airlines B737 aircraft aborted its landing due to strong winds. Meanwhile, another Southwest Airlines B737 took off from a different runway, resulting in a dangerously close encounter between the two aircraft.
- Fortunately, the pilots were able to safely distance themselves, using instructions from air traffic control and the traffic collision avoidance system onboard the aircraft.
- The airline stated that it is continuing to cooperate with the FAA in the investigation of the incident.
