Leadership Change at Turkish Airlines – Murat Şeker Appointed Chairman, Ahmet Olmuştur Named CEO

A leadership reshuffle has taken place at Turkish Airlines.

Murat Şeker has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, while Ahmet Olmuştur has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to the company’s disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Chairman Ahmet Bolat and Board Members Bilal Ekşi and Mecit Eş have resigned from their positions.

Following these resignations, the Board of Directors appointed Murat Şeker as Chairman. Additionally, Ahmet Olmuştur, Metin Gülşen, and Hasan Murat Mercan have been appointed as board members, subject to approval at the next General Assembly.

As part of the executive changes, following the retirement of Bilal Ekşi from his role as CEO, Ahmet Olmuştur—previously serving as Deputy General Manager (Commercial)—has been appointed as CEO. Metin Gülşen, formerly Head of Accounting and Financial Control, has been named Deputy General Manager (Finance), while Harun Baştürk has been appointed Deputy General Manager (Commercial).
