Effective April 20, 2026, Southwest Airlines will permit passengers to carry only one lithium portable charger or power bank per person. Under the new regulation, devices must not exceed 100Wh in capacity and are prohibited in checked baggage.
Southwest Airlines stated that this measure has been implemented to enhance passenger safety and mitigate risks associated with lithium batteries during flight operations.
