According to Reuters, at least seven rockets were fired from near the Iraqi city of Mosul toward a U.S. military base located in northeastern Syria.
The rockets were reportedly launched from the Rabi’a area, west of Mosul, drawing attention due to the cross-border nature of the attack. Security sources stated that the rocket system used in the attack was mounted on a truck, which was later seized following the incident.
The attack comes amid rising military and political tensions in the region, underscoring the ongoing risks to military assets in northeastern Syria.
