Swedish Artist Maher Zain Becomes the Face of Turkish Airlines’ Ramadan Campaign
Turkish Airlines has partnered with Swedish Muslim artist Maher Zain for its new global communications campaign prepared for the month of Ramadan. The campaign film has been released on the airline’s official social media accounts.
Centered on the themes of unity, solidarity, and reunion associated with Ramadan, the film presents the concept of travel not only as physical movement, but also as a journey of returning home, belonging, and sharing. Accompanied by Maher Zain’s voice, the production highlights cultural and spiritual connections.
Turkish Airlines has previously drawn attention with international campaigns featuring globally recognized figures. In this year’s campaign, however, the airline appears to have adopted a more thematic and culturally focused framework. The collaboration is seen as an effort to strengthen communication with Muslim passenger segments, particularly across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
Who Is Maher Zain?
Born in 1981, Maher Zain is a Lebanese-Swedish artist. He gained international recognition with his 2009 album Thank You Allah, reaching a broad global audience and becoming one of the prominent names in modern Islamic pop music. Performing primarily in English and Arabic, Zain combines themes such as spirituality, belonging, peace, and hope with contemporary production styles.
Maher Zain has achieved billions of views across digital platforms. As of 2025, he is reported to have strong reach in 184 countries, with annual digital streams exceeding 2.8 billion. The artist has performed in a wide range of regions, from Asia to Europe, and from Africa to the Americas, and also has a significant audience in Türkiye.
As the airline flying to more countries than any other carrier worldwide, Turkish Airlines appears to be aiming for a culturally driven brand–artist collaboration approach with this campaign.
