U.S. President Donald J. Trump has announced that the government will begin the process of releasing classified documents related to aliens, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and UFOs.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump said that “based on the tremendous interest shown,” he will direct relevant departments and federal agencies to identify and make public government files connected to these matters. The statement indicated that documents concerning claims of alien and extraterrestrial life, as well as unidentified aerial phenomena, will be reviewed and prepared for release.
The post also emphasized that these issues are “highly complex, but extremely interesting and important.”
