
United Airlines to Use 300 GEnx Engines for New Boeing 787s
GE Aerospace has announced that United Airlines has agreed to purchase 300 GEnx engines to power its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. According to the statement, the engines will be installed on the airline’s upcoming 787 deliveries.
Mohamed Ali, President and CEO of GE Aerospace Commercial Engines & Services, stated that the company has maintained a strong working relationship with United spanning several decades. He noted that this agreement will position United as the world’s largest operator of both the Boeing 787 and GEnx engines, adding that GE is pleased to continue supporting United’s operations.
GEnx engines are widely preferred on the Boeing 787 platform, standing out for their fuel efficiency and performance in long-haul operations.
