
Southwest Airlines announced its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results, reporting a net profit of $323 million on revenues of $7.4 billion in the fourth quarter. The company also closed the year with total revenues of $28.1 billion and a net profit of $441 million.
The airline stated that the cost controls and operational improvements implemented throughout 2025 had a positive impact on financial results, emphasizing that strong demand supported performance in the final quarter of the year. The company added that it entered 2026 with a strong start and that the financial outlook remains positive.
On the fleet side, as part of its renewal plans, Southwest Airlines said it plans to take delivery of 66 Boeing 737-8 aircraft in 2026, while at the same time aiming to retire approximately 60 older-generation aircraft from its fleet.
