An Air India A350 aircraft operating a Delhi–New York flight returned to Delhi due to the closure of Iranian airspace.
After landing, while taxiing, one of the aircraft’s engines ingested a container from a cargo-handling vehicle, resulting in engine damage.
The aircraft was safely brought to a parking position, and an investigation has been launched by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India.
