Libyan Airlines has returned an Airbus A320 aircraft to service following the completion of heavy maintenance and a subsequent test flight. The maintenance work was carried out by local engineers and technicians.
The company emphasized that this step is significant in terms of localizing civil aviation maintenance activities and reducing external dependency. It was noted that heavy maintenance previously performed abroad cost approximately $2 million per aircraft.
