Crew members who lost their jobs after SmartLynx Airlines abruptly ceased operations on November 24, 2025, issued a joint statement declaring that they still have not received the salaries owed to them for their previous work periods. More than 1,200 employees who served in the airline’s Latvia, Malta, and Estonia operations say the company has failed to provide any information or make any payments.
In the statement shared by the staff, it was emphasized that despite fulfilling their duties professionally, they have received no response for months and that this silence is unacceptable. The statement read: “We worked, we fulfilled our duties, but we have not been paid. No one is taking responsibility.”
The employees said they will continue acting together to ensure their rights are recognized and paid, expressing their determination to make their voices heard across the industry. They also called on various entities linked to SmartLynx Airlines to take responsibility, affirming that their struggle for fair compensation will continue.
