VistaJet Becomes First Foreign Operator Authorized for Domestic Flights in Saudi Arabia
Private aviation company VistaJet has become the first foreign operator authorized to conduct domestic flights in Saudi Arabia. This development comes following recent regulatory changes in the country’s aviation sector.
On May 1, 2025, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) lifted cabotage restrictions, opening the door for foreign investors in charter flights. With VistaJet’s authorization, the aim is to increase competition in private aviation, improve service quality, and promote growth in the sector.
