Due to a Battery Issue in Wireless Earbuds, the Flight Diverted to Ankara

Turkish Airlines flight #TK2225 from Gaziantep to Istanbul, operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft registered as TC-JHZ, diverted to Ankara Esenboğa Airport after a passenger’s wireless earbuds battery briefly caught fire.

Following the incident, the owner of the earbuds and another passenger who experienced panic during the event were disembarked for health and safety checks.
