Emirates Banned the Use of Powerbanks❌

Emirates announced that starting from October 1st, the use of portable chargers (powerbanks) will be banned on their flights. The decision was made due to the increasing fire risks caused by lithium battery-powered devices in recent years. According to the new regulation, passengers will not be allowed to use their powerbanks during the flight either to charge their devices or to draw power from the aircraft outlets.

ℹ️ Emirates stated that the ban applies only to usage during the flight, and carrying powerbanks under certain conditions will still be permitted. Passengers may carry one powerbank with a capacity under 100 watt-hours in their carry-on luggage. However, the device must be kept in the seat pocket or under the seat, not in overhead bins.
