Crew Continued Flight Despite Positive Pre-Flight Test

👉🏼 During a Malta–Rome flight operated in April by KM Malta Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, two crew members tested positive for alcohol and drugs during a pre-flight screening. Despite the test results, the flight was not canceled, and the personnel in question continued their duties.
👉🏼 The incident sparked public outrage in Malta, prompting a review of the airline’s internal audit and safety procedures.
