Delta Airlines Pilot Arrested After Flight on Child Abuse Charges

A Delta Airlines pilot, Rustom Bhagwagar (34), was arrested and removed from the cockpit immediately after landing at San Francisco International Airport, facing charges related to child sexual abuse.
Bhagwagar has been charged with five separate counts of sexual assault involving a child under the age of 10. Police had been investigating him since April.
Passengers on the flight reported that around ten plainclothes officers boarded the plane and took the pilot into custody.
In a statement, Delta Airlines said they were “shocked by the allegations” and confirmed that the pilot has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Bhagwagar’s bail in California has been set at $5 million.
