Aviation YouTuber Nonstop Dan (Daniel Goz) has received a high-level response from Kuwait Airways after revealing that he had faced the threat of being detained for filming a video on board one of the airline’s flights. Following public outcry over the incident, the Chairman of Kuwait Airways—who is also a member of the Kuwaiti royal family—personally reached out to Dan to apologize.
In a new video posted on his channel, Nonstop Dan shared that Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Salem Alfagaan sent him a personal email expressing “deep regret” over the situation. In the message, Chairman Alfagaan apologized for what he called the “unacceptable behavior” of both the cabin crew and airport personnel involved.
The chairman also offered to meet Dan in person and invited him to take a complimentary flight on any route of his choice as a gesture of goodwill. Dan further revealed that a member of the Kuwaiti royal family had also contacted him directly. During that conversation, the royal expressed remorse over the incident and offered compensation options such as a refund or a new flight.
However, Dan declined all offers of compensation, making only one request to the airline: that the lead flight attendant involved in the incident not lose their job. He suggested that the staff member’s behavior may have stemmed from a lack of training or awareness, stating, “I hope this becomes a learning experience and they are given a chance to improve.”
In a subsequent official statement, Chairman Alfagaan reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to both passenger privacy and transparent feedback. He announced plans to clarify the airline’s in-flight video recording policies and pledged to share the findings of the ongoing internal investigation directly with Dan.
