
Spanish airline Iberia has unveiled a €6 billion investment plan under its “Flight Plan 2030” strategy, aiming to boost profitability to 15% and position Madrid as one of Europe’s leading aviation hubs.
Key elements of the plan include:
Expanding its long-haul fleet from 47 to 70 aircraft with new A350s, A321XLRs, and A330neos.
Fully renewing its narrow-body fleet with A320neo and A321neo aircraft.
Launching new routes to Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.
Establishing a new operations hub called “Ciudad Iberia” near Madrid Barajas Airport.
Refurbishing all cabin interiors and improving ground services.
Hiring approximately 1,000 new employees annually.
