Military Helicopter Crash in Sri Lanka Kills Six

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter carrying military personnel crashed in the Maduru Oya area, resulting in the deaths of all six occupants, according to Air Force spokesperson Eranda Geeganage.

Geeganage told Reuters that the helicopter had been assigned for a ceremonial event. Among the victims were four members of the special forces and two from the air force. He declined to comment on the possible causes of the crash.
