Emergency Landing Due to Severe Turbulence: 5 Passengers Hospitalized

A United Airlines flight, operating as #UA5690 on the Springfield-Branson – Houston route, encountered severe turbulence. The CRJ-200LR aircraft, registered as N920EV, was forced to make an emergency landing at Waco Regional Airport. Five passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The aircraft, operated by SkyWest Airlines under the United Express brand, had a total of 31 people on board, including three crew members. SkyWest Airlines released a statement saying, “SkyWest flight 5690 from Springfield, MO, to Houston landed safely at Waco Regional Airport following turbulence.”
