Direct Flights Between the US and Lebanon May Resume

US President Donald Trump has reportedly lifted aviation restrictions on Lebanon that had been in place for decades. The move is said to potentially pave the way for the resumption of direct flights between the US and Lebanon, which have not operated for many years.
Initially, Lebanon-based Middle East Airlines (MEA) is expected to be able to launch direct service on the Beirut–New York route using new Airbus A330neo aircraft it will add to its fleet.
The decision and the flight plans have not yet been officially confirmed.
