Airport in Mexico Closed Due to Hurricane

The closure of Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, has been extended until 8:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, October 13, due to Hurricane Simón.
In an official statement, airport management announced that aviation authorities had extended the closure due to the hurricane’s slow movement and adverse weather conditions expected in the region.
Passengers have been advised to contact their airlines directly for the latest flight information. Authorities also reminded the public that the airport is not a designated emergency shelter and urged residents to follow instructions issued by local authorities.
