Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has completed a five-month comprehensive refurbishment project across its four passenger lounges at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. As part of the project, seating, dining, and rest areas in Terminals 1 and 2 were fully updated.
The refurbishment coincides with PPG’s 10th anniversary in Taiwan. Since establishing operations at Taoyuan International Airport in 2016, the company has served over six million travelers in the market.
Each of the renewed lounges has been assigned themes inspired by different elements of Taiwanese culture. The Blossom and The Jade, located in Terminal 1, alongside The Terroir and The Crest in Terminal 2, feature designs that reference orchids, jade craftsmanship, tea culture, and mountain landscapes.
During the renovations, seating layouts were reconfigured to accommodate increased capacity, and buffet areas were expanded. Local Taiwanese dishes such as Sha Cha beef noodles, shredded chicken rice, and sticky rice, alongside vegetarian options, were added to the lounge menus. Through local partnerships, Moon Moon Food’s sesame chili noodles, Chappii tea, and Drink Sport products were incorporated into the offerings, while DIY cocktail bars were installed in select lounges.
In Terminal 2, the Terroir lounge introduced private rest suites in single- and double-occupancy configurations through a partnership with Sealy. Additionally, PPG partnered with Acme+Art Gallery to feature 15 artworks across its Terminal 1 and 2 lounges. The inaugural exhibition showcases works by contemporary Taiwanese artist Wu Chia Hua and other local artists.
