Report: U.S. Preparing Large-Scale Operation Against Houthis in Yemen

Tensions are rising in the Middle East amid the war with Iran and Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia said its air defense systems intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward the capital, Riyadh. The Houthis also announced attacks targeting energy and infrastructure facilities in different parts of the country.

U.S. diplomatic missions in the region have also issued security alerts for American citizens, advising them to remain vigilant amid the possibility of flight cancellations and airspace closures.

As developments continue, U.S. President Donald Trump cut short his stay at Camp David and returned to the White House on Saturday evening. While the U.S. administration evaluates its next steps in the war with Iran, there are also reports that Washington is preparing for a large-scale military operation against the Houthis in Yemen.

Trump is expected to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York next week, where developments involving Iran are expected to be among the key issues on the agenda.
