25-Aircraft Order from Bangladesh to Boeing

Bangladesh has placed an order for 25 aircraft from U.S.-based Boeing in an effort to ease trade tensions with the United States and reduce the high customs duties imposed during the Trump administration. Senior officials from the country emphasize that this move is vital for Bangladesh, particularly as it seeks to maintain its competitiveness in ready-made garment exports.

In a statement, Bangladesh’s Minister of Commerce Mahbubur Rahman said, “We urgently need new aircraft, and we may have to take delivery within the next few years. Initially, we planned for 14 aircraft, but that number has now increased to 25.”
