232 Flights Canceled Across the Middle East Amid Escalating Tensions

Rising geopolitical tensions and successive airspace closures across the Middle East have led to widespread flight disruptions.

➡️ According to data shared by aviation analytics firm Cirium, 232 out of 3,422 scheduled flights to eight countries in the region were canceled today — representing approximately 6.8% of planned operations.

➡️ Israel recorded the highest cancellation rate at 37.3%, with 40 of 107 planned flights scrapped. In Jordan, the cancellation rate reached 13.3%, while Qatar saw a 10.1% rate. The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain both experienced cancellation rates of around 8.8%.

➡️ In the UAE, 94 out of 1,067 scheduled flights were canceled. Qatar reported 34 cancellations out of 335 flights. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia saw 28 cancellations out of 1,277 flights, Iran had 9 cancellations out of 307, and Oman recorded 5 cancellations from 122 scheduled operations.

Further operational adjustments are expected as the regional situation continues to evolve.
